Lived towards the Open Day for so long, and suddenly there are already two weeks over! What an incredibly cool day we had, so many interested parties, friends, colleagues and family joined us in this celebration celebrated.
I jokingly said to Sytze it feels a bit like our wedding day! But that’s really how it was, nice messages, gifts and praise words. The kids had a top-notch donut bar and did well their best in catering. In the evening, with friends and colleagues, we had another fantastic evening. It was enjoyable to see a team of colleagues so can celebrate with each other!
Due to the crowds, we have took almost no pictures during the day. In the evening, yes, but those photos Better stay inside the walls of the Fabryk. What happens in the fabryk, stays in the fabryk ?
We don’t have time to take a moment to relax, the fabryk is running at full speed.
With a packed workshop schedule, we kicked off the first girlfriend nights. We will continue until mid-July and then have a summer break first. Registration for a workshop in the post-season is of course possible. Workshops are always taught by two members of Team FBRK!
The day care facility is progressing steadily and is a wonderful space to work in; in fact, it is so nice that we are already having regular coffee there with each other. Also, Anieka and I have had initial intake interviews and are we are expanding our network considerably. We are poised to really let loose can go. We will soon host an afternoon of experience for those interested!
Retailers and cool webshops also know how to find us, so we have a number of physical outlets in Belgium and the Netherlands. Last Saturday a surprise in the Wonen&Co the herring of Fabryk Design on the front page! We were also nominated for Shopkeeper of the Year of the Municipality of Oostellingwerf. Have you voted for us yet? You also have a chance to win a wonderful trip to Ibiza!
There are also a number of internships at Fabryk again for the upcoming season.
The internships for DTP are full! Last weeks teachers of our students also visited the Fabryk, nice to show these professionals our company and be able to inspire them. I was even invited to host an inspiration guest lecture!
Just a few more weeks and summer vacation is already upon us, for us the period to start working on the winter collection. Do you see us already standing? Sanding and wrapping Christmas trees in shorts and flip-flops. To the Christmas atmosphere then we play Christmas songs in the workshop.
The new collection is an addition to our current collection, but with a twist, slightly less geometric but more rounded forms. There will be a new catalog be made for our buyers and there are also plans for a magazine!
We are also going to make more videos of our activities, not too complicated and we are also not going to pretend to be nicer than we are. Just as it is we begin filming a day of a Fabryk Designer. I did the kickoff and you can find the video here! Next week a video of a day of window styling!
